PKP Cargo, WWL and LOCONI Hold a Signing Ceremony of Joint Venture Agreement

On April 10th 2017 PKP Cargo SA of Poland , Worldwide Logistics Group of China and LOCONI Intermodal SA of Poland held a grand signing ceremony of the three-party joint venture agreement at the Shanghai Dolly Organic Club. The signing of this agreement indicates the deep commitment of Worldwide Logistics Group to the "one belt and one road" strategy, and also the start of the Group’s cooperation for the development of China- Europe Railway multimodal transport services.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Maciej Libiszewski, President of the Management Board of PKP Cargo SA, Mr. Jacky Lim, President of Worldwide Logistics Group) and Ms. Lidia Dziewierska, President of the Management Board of LOCONI Intermodal SA, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the three parties. Mr. Wang Zhixiong, Vice President of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, President of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Xie Jiangang, Secretary-General and Chief Executive of Yangpu District People's Government and Mr. Marek Romsicki Vice Consul of the Republic of Poland in Shanghai) were present and witnessed the signing ceremony.

During his state visit to Poland in June 2016 President Xi Jinping held talks with President Duda of Poland in Warsaw and determined to improve the China - Poland relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership. As the pivot of "one belt and one road", Poland is also the leader of 16+1 cooperation mechanism. In recent years, its trade with China has always shown a good momentum of development. It is the fastest growing partner of bilateral trade in the EU. PKP Cargo is the largest railway transportation company in Poland and the second largest in Europe. All goods from China to Europe have to go through the railway network controlled by PKP Cargo in Poland. Worldwide Logistics Group is ranked one of the top 50 professional comprehensive international logistics services provider among the global logistics enterprises and the largest logistics company serving the trade between China and Poland. LOCONI Intermodal is the largest railway multimodal transport service provider in Poland and can provide multimodal transport services within Poland and from Polish Ports to various destinations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It has the ability to operate more than 100 thousand standard containers per year. The Presidents representing the three parties agreed that three enterprises should share their advantageous resources hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder to create 1+1+1>3 cooperation pattern.
