WWL Group Is Listed as One of "Top 50 Global Logistics Enterprises" Again

After being listed as one of "Top 50 Global Logistics Enterprises" last year, Worldwide Logistics(WWL)Group won this honor again in the global logistics industry. Recently, "Transport Topics", the authoritative magazine in global logistics industry, has released the latest ranking list of "Top 50 Global Logistics Enterprises" in 2017. WWL Group was listed again and has been ranked at the 29th place of the top 50 ocean freight forwarders with one place ahead from last year, and now it is in the midstream of the international logistics enterprises. So far WWL Group has maintained a continuous upgrading in the international logistics industry.

"Transport Topics" is under The Logistics Institute with a history of years in preparing the global logistics lists. The ranking lists released by the institute are commonly recognized by the whole logistics industry for its careful professional appraising process, reflecting the comprehensive power of the listed enterprises truthfully and objectively. The annual "Global Top 50 Logistics Enterprises" attracts the close attention of the global logistics enterprises.

The listing of WWL Group for two consecutive years with the midstream ranking in an upward trend has been possible thanks to the Group's efforts in the international logistics market. As a large logistics enterprise with an international presence WWL Group in recent years has actively responded to the national strategy of "One Belt, One Road" taking bold moves to seize its market share in the intensely competitive international logistics market. For instance in May 2015, Yang Xiong, the Mayor of Shanghai, attended the signing ceremony of WWL Group and Shanghai Etimaden Chemical Limited, a subsidiary of Etimaden I.G.M from Turkey which is the largest producer of boron in the world. WWL Group and Turkish Etimaden I.G.M cooperated to establish the Asian logistics center, to promote and further strengthening the economic trading cooperation between Shanghai and China at large with Turkey. Then, in June 2015, WWL Group signed an agreement with Netlog Logistics Group, which is the largest logistics company in Turkey, to establish a joint-venture in China called Netlog Global Forwarding (China) Co. Later on WWL Group signed an agreement also with ATC Cargo, which is the largest logistics Group in Poland to establish a joint-venture in China called Poland - China International Logistics (China) Co. Ltd. WWL Group has now contributed to set up the largest logistics enterprises covering the routes form Chian to Turkey and form Chian to Poland. On the same note in July 2015, WWL Group entered into a co-operation agreement with North America Western Asia Holdings, working together to create a trading channel between China and Iraq. In September 2016 the President of WWL Group, Jacky Lim, signed a letter of intent with the Bahrain Economic Development Board to expand business in Bahrain. WWL Group became one of the specified logistics providers of Dragon City Bahrain, and obtained the operating rights for a warehouse with an area of 4,500 m2 in Dragon City, thus achieving the full coverage in terms of logistics supply chain from the Chinese ports to the stores of Dragon City in Bahrain. In October 2016 WWL Group officially launched the Xinjiang International Land Port Project and the Sino-Europe International Railway Trains Project, focusing on creating an high-end service brand for intermodal transportation from China to Europe. In November 2016 the President of WWL Group, Jacky Lim, met Vincent Clerc, the Chief Commercial Officer of Maersk Group which is the largest container shipping company in the world. The parties entered into a strategic cooperation relationship. In December 2016 WWL Group established its Australian branch and entered the Australian market. In April 2017 the President of WWL Group, Jacky Lim, met Rolf Habben Jansen, the Global CEO of Hapag-Lloyd. WWL group will make more powerful moves in its business layout in Southeast Asia, India, Pakistan, Australia, Middle-East, Central Eastern and Northwest Europe. Also, at the end of April 2017 WWL Group, in association with PKP Cargo and Loconi Intermodal of Poland entered into a Joint- Venture Agreement, to cement their co-operation and provide a powerful working tool to launch an high-end intermodal service between China and Europe. Based on its strong international logistics position along the “Maritime Silk Route” WWL Group will strive to further improve its position also in the international land logistics services along the “Land Silk Route”, thus creating a comprehensive international logistics enterprise fully supporting the national "One Belt, One Road" strategy.

With the achievement of being listed among the "Top 50 Global Logistics Enterprises" WWL Group has completed its early stage market strategy and now plans to achieve further ambitious goals in the international logistics market in order to strengthen and further expand its position.
